The work is the same. The conviction is what’s different.
St. Louis has dozens of organizations working on homelessness, and inExcelsis is one that larger institutions ask to partner with. Sizable organizations across the region call us when their guests need a hot shower from the four-stall Dignity on Wheels trailer, a winter shelter night for a family with children, a bus pass to reach a job interview, or help replacing the birth certificate and ID that’s blocking a housing application. The demand arriving at our door is the same demand bigger organizations meet — and increasingly, the demand they bring to us as a trusted partner.
What’s different is conviction, not scale. inExcelsis was founded on the belief that every neighbor we serve is the most important person we have met that day, and the work is shaped around that belief. Saturday after Saturday, route after route, season after season. Most of our supporters give as people of faith; others give because this kind of work is what they want in the world. Both gifts do the same thing: they close the gap between what arrives at our door and what we can answer with steady, dignified service.

Give $50,000+. Get a 50% Missouri state tax credit.
A qualifying $50K+ gift to inExcelsis through Missouri’s Neighborhood Assistance Program returns a 50% credit against your Missouri state tax bill. Combined with the federal charitable deduction, the effective net cost can drop below 25% of the original gift.
If you’re 70½ or older, give from your IRA and skip the income tax.
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) counts toward your required minimum distribution, is excluded from your taxable income, and can be a more tax-efficient way to give than withdrawing the money first and donating the cash. Annual QCD limit is $111,000 per individual for 2026.

Yes. inExcelsis is a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 84-4181227). All gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by U.S. law. You’ll receive an email receipt for online gifts and a mailed receipt for gifts of $250+ or any check donation. For year-end tax-deductible gifts, please ensure your gift is postmarked or processed by December 31.
Roughly 85% of every dollar goes directly to programs — Saturday Community Fellowship (ComFe), Dignity on Wheels mobile showers, Winter Safe Haven, and Discipleship. The remaining 15% covers operations, fundraising, and the small administrative costs of being a 501(c)(3). Our full financials are public on Charity Navigator, Candid, and our Annual Report page.
Yes. On the Raisely donation page, you’ll see a designation dropdown — Mobile Shower, ComFe, Winter Safe Haven, Discipleship, or “Where Most Needed.” We honor every restriction. If you’d like to designate to a specific need not on the list, email finance@inexcelsislove.org.
Yes. See the Stock & Securities page for our broker’s DTC instructions. Stock gifts typically transfer within 3–5 business days; we’ll send you a receipt for the fair market value on the day the stock arrived in our account.

Yes. Our donation pages are hosted by Raisely, a PCI-compliant fundraising platform that uses Stripe for payment processing. inExcelsis never sees or stores your credit card information.
Many can. Use the company-match lookup tool in the “Workplace matching” card above to check whether your employer has a matching program. If they do, your HR or community-relations team will guide you through their process — and your match can double or triple your gift to inExcelsis.
Your Raisely confirmation email contains a link to your donor portal where you can update payment information, change the amount, pause, or cancel your recurring gift at any time. If you can’t find the link, email finance@inexcelsislove.org and we’ll help you immediately.
Absolutely. The Support the Cause page covers financial and asset-based gifts; everything else — Saturday drop-off, our Amazon wishlist, volunteer roles, and group service opportunities — lives on our Get Involved page. Many of our donors give in both ways.

A one paragraph letter to your IRA custodian can use to issue the distribution
